Top Broadway Shows to See

  1. Fiddler on the Roof - This is the most recent show I have seen on Broadway and it is certainly my favorite. As you may or may not know, this is a revival of the original Fiddler on the Roof show from back in 1964, and the cast has definitely done it justice! Just as a quick refresher, this story is based on the traditions of fathers and daughters back in the day in Russia. The dancing is nothing like I have ever seen before and although the storyline can be serious at times, you will find yourself laughing throughout the entire show.
  2. Aladdin - Broadway loves to bring Disney classics to the stage and after seeing Beauty and the Beast and The Lion King, this is probably my favorite Disney classic that has hit Broadway. The actor who plays the Genie steals the show - the modern day jokes make this show truly enjoyable to watch. Aladdin is not my favorite Disney movie, but that almost changed after seeing the show on Broadway.
  3. The Lion King - Although Aladdin is my favorite Disney Broadway Show, I couldn't forget The Lion King. The show does not stray far from the original story of The Lion King, but the art that is a part of this show is absolutely breathtaking. The way the cast incorporates all of the animals into the show (without using real animals) is what makes this show so special. You will be captivated by the props from beginning to end.
  4. Jersey Boys - Whether or not you're a fan of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons, I highly recommend you see this show. This Broadway Show is not just a glorified concert of the songs the group sang, but it focuses on the relationship of the four men that became the symbol of a generation. Although it is a musical, the drama aspect of the show is what makes it interesting for all types of people - not just Frankie Valli fans.
  5. Wicked - This Broadway Show reimagines the original Wizard of Oz movie from the 1930's. The show is focused on the untold story of The Wicked Witch of the West and Glinda the Good, which does prove that there are always two sides to a story - the one we all know and love and the version from Wicked. Just like The Lion King, the props and costumes that are used in this show are amazing - they will make any fashion and culture lover so proud.
