You may remember that I shared some of my new year's resolutions with you in the beginning of February. In an effort to give you more inspiration for the near year, I want to follow up with all of you in regards to your resolutions. Have you kept them? Did you alter them? Was it easy?
With less than a day and half left to go, 2016 is swiftly making her exit while 2017 waits patiently in the wings. You may find yourself at this moment exactly where you want to be. If that's you, congratulations-I envy you...in a good way of course!!! For those of you who haven't had the best year...take heart....nothing is permanent, even the challenges and struggles that life throws at you. Life is a complex, intricate, messy, beautiful and amazing gift. One day you are on top of the world and the next day life can have you on your knees. One thing is for sure, though...balance and moderation are key to staying the course and keeping your sanity. To that point, I have rounded up some inspirational and thought provoking quotes to get 2017 started out on the right foot...one for every month of this year....and remember, whatever it is that you want to accomplish this year you CAN do it if you truly WANT it. Cheers to 2017!!!!
The end of one year and the start of another year always brings out those "resolutioners". I want to help inspire you in 2017 to make resolutions that are achievable and LONG TERM. My inspiration for the new year is to make your goals attainable - read on to see how I plan on achieving that and how you can, too!
Inspiration. It's something that we all need from time to time and let's admit it-it's the kind of thing we need ALL the time! Inspiration for our businesses and work lives, inspiration to write, to read, to travel, to love and sometimes just to get through the day! Inspiration breathes life into ideas and is the catalyst that pushes creative thought into action. We all draw our own inspirations from many different things. It could be a place that we love where we feel safe and quiet, it could be a place that brings back fuzzy childhood memories, it could be a place filled with chaos that makes us snap into focus and that pushes us to our limits. It could be a person, or a thing...inspirational quotes, books, authors, speakers...anything at all. For me, it really all depends on what I am looking for, and what type of inspiration I need in that moment. I rounded up my top 3 favorite people that give me inspiration on the regular and I hope they may inspire you too!!
What are you grateful for? Seems like an easy enough question to answer and most of us would probably start rattling off the obvious: our families, spouses, our friends, our health, careers, etc. If you really dial it down a bit more though and go beneath the surface of the first things that come to mind you will be amazed to see just how much more there is to the concept of gratitude. I came across a 30 Day Gratitude Challenge image on Pinterest at the beginning of this month and it was all I needed to prompt myself to dig a little deeper...

As I sit on a plane somewhere above the clouds it couldn't be clearer. Convention. I can't stand it. As a matter of fact, I hate it. I didn't always I must admit. When you grow up in a small suburban town all you really know is convention. What you see is what you get. Grow up, go to school, get straight A's, get married, have kids, repeat. Convention. It's what they say you should do. Well I say "they" are sleeping on the job.
